|Object Name||Print, Relief|
Edition 6 of 7.
Relief print on Tableau paper, oil based ink, hand-printed by the artist from a plywood block at his W. Lamme Street studio in Bozeman, Montana.
From the artist:
"The image was conceived as a representation of my infant daughter's guardian angel, not long after her birth and the traumatic events of her illness. For many years, she would look upwards and to the left and then smile, and I liked to attribute this action to her consulting the guardian angel. Later, we learned that this was a kind of seizure associated with an autonomic reflex.
However, her guardian angel looks after her still, though rather a bumbler sometimes, sword pointed at his own toes, and thumbs indwelling in the palm like hers."
